Welcome to Tirant Hotel in Hanoi’s Historic Old Quarter
Tirant Hotel has been in operation since early 2011. Located on Gia Ngu Street—literally “Fish Village” in Vietnamese—our neighborhood was once home to generations of fishermen and their families. In the 1800s, the pond at the center of the area was filled in to create a new road, which went through several different names before receiving its current title, Gia Ngu. During the French colonial period, this street was at one time called Tirant (pronounced “Tai-rang”), after a French general. Wanting a hotel name that is both easy to remember and uniquely tied to local history, we chose to honor this legacy with the name Tirant Hotel.
Situated in the heart of Hanoi’s most iconic cultural landmark—the Old Quarter, where many of the city’s legends and traditions are preserved—Tirant Hotel is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers.
Tirant Hotel, located in the historic center of Hanoi, is a strategic starting point to visit the town and planning themed tours in Halong Bay, Sapa and Ninh Binh, or discovering beautiful hamlets such as Van Phuc, Bat Trang.
“Amazing staff, awesome breakfast and super clean. The suites are large and the hotels location is right in the middle of everything.”
“The staff were incredibly helpful as we navigated Hanoi during Tet. We loved being in the old quarter.”
