Tirant Hotel has welcomed guests since early 2011, standing gracefully on Gia Ngư Street—once known as the historic “Fish Village” of Hanoi. This charming lane was home to generations of fishermen, whose lives were closely tied to the waters that once defined the area. In the 19th century, a central pond was gradually filled to form a road, marking the beginning of Gia Ngu as we know it today.

During the French colonial era, the street briefly carried the name Tirant (pronounced “Tai-rang”), inspired by a French general. Embracing this unique chapter of history, we chose the name Tirant Hotel—a name that is not only distinctive and memorable, but also deeply rooted in the cultural narrative of Hanoi.

Nestled in the very heart of the Old Quarter—Hanoi’s most iconic and vibrant heritage district—Tirant Hotel offers guests an exceptional gateway to the city’s timeless charm.
